Fry, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of MICROS Systems, Inc. and a leading e-commerce solutions provider, is happy to announce the launch of a new release of its Open Commerce Platform™ (OCP). OCP 4.0 includes all the great features of past versions but with a heightened focus on business-to-business (B2B) commerce functionality and new mobile and business-to-consumer (B2C) enhancements.
OCP 4.0 offers a wide-range of functionality for users including catalog, content and experience management, internal search, customer service, roles-based security, operational reporting and system tools. All these features are offered in a user-friendly format easily adapted to fit to an individual user's needs. This release offers new B2C functions, such as the addition of PayPal as a payment method option and integration with the company's CRM software, Relate, for gift cards and electronic gift certificates. These functions are available on both the web and mobile modules. Search engine optimization (SEO) capabilities have also been enhanced for the web format.
OCP 4.0 includes a more comprehensive B2B module than previous versions. These new features facilitate faster interactions between various business partners by housing the different account information needed online, such as products and pricing, online within one system as opposed to more individually-housed information and systems. The efficiency of ordering has also been improved with this latest release, as businesses can work on multiple orders at once, save order templates, upload orders from Excel and enter SKU numbers for faster ordering. The B2B module can also be instrumental in a business' lead generation efforts.
"Fry is excited to offer new B2B features in OCP 4.0. We are confident that this new functionality will prove highly beneficial to business partners, facilitating easier communication between parties and leading to successful eCommerce," said Rudy Pataro, President of Fry.
Sites utilizing OCP 4.0 will begin to launch later this fall.
