April 21, 2009 -- Fry, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of MICROS Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MCRS) and a leading e-commerce solutions provider, today announced Pendleton Woolen Mills has engaged Fry for the replatform, design and hosting of its www.pendleton-usa.com site.
Scheduled to launch summer 2009, Fry will build the site using its Open Commerce PlatformTM (OCP), an e-commerce solution that enables retailers to quickly and economically develop an online store and expand their e-commerce business. OCP will allow Pendleton’s small dedicated staff to better manage merchandising and promotions.
"Fry’s reputation delivering world-class retail e-commerce sites brings great value to the project," said Peter Bishop, e-commerce manager for Pendleton. "In addition to its branding expertise, we are excited about the flexibility and ease-of-maintenance that OCP provides."
Selected for Fry’s full-service capabilities in multi-channel retail, e-commerce development, creative design and hosting, the launch of the site will reflect Pendleton’s 100 years of providing the best in quality and American-made woolen products.
"We are thrilled to partner with a company rich in history, and to help Pendleton better represent its story, value and products to today’s consumer," said David Fry, President of Fry. "We look forward to helping Pendleton take its business into the next 100 years."
